About Fright Night 2019 - OUR 13th YEAR!

Our haunted building is different! Each year we bring tons of new, interactive, spooky scenes with over 60 live creatures for you to engage with. The entire event is run by volunteers from your community, and all the proceeds go to supporting the Firehouse Youth Centre and the United Way.

Our theme for 2019 - The Return of IT!

We're going to bring you creatures and experiences from a wide range of classic to current horror films, and as always, we make YOU part of the story!

  • Friday Oct. 18th and Saturday Oct 19th, 7pm-10pm
  • NEW this year, Saturday October 19th, 1pm-4pm during Applefest!
  • All indoors, 3 floors as 1 long trail!
  • NEW maze design in the first floor
  • Over 20 scenes such as "Leprocalpyse", "66 seconds", "Frank n Lizzie", "Pay Your Respects!" and "Your Turn!"
  • Great for all ages! Family-minded rates!
  • Amazing special effects!
  • Just $12/person, only $5/person for each additional trip through the trail during the same time slot (7-10, 1-4 or 7-10)
  • Cash or Debit at the door, or online at
  • Have the little ones come in costume - trying out their outfit before the big night!

When buying tickets - if you share our event on Twitter you get $1 off your total price! Offer appears at checkout.

Note: The old firehall is NOT a fully accessible building, and taking the trail means you need to be able to go up, go down sets of stairs. To enhance the experience, our event does use special equipment such as fog machines, strobe lights.

Check us out on Twitter and Facebook as we post updates leading up to the event, pictures during the event, and more! @JhsDurhamRegion or @TheFHYC

The Firehouse is a free drop-in program for youth age 19 and under that runs year round, providing recreation activities, guidance, support, and volunteer opportunities for students. The United Way supports over 200 programs and 40 agencies across Durham (including the Firehouse) for things like Meals on Wheels, Big Brothers/Sisters, food banks and more.

** PARENTS: Our event is family-friendly, but you are the best judge of what your children will enjoy. We also provide a special "code word" to everyone to give you extra protection from the creatures inside.

Feel free to forward this info to your friends and neighbours - make a fun outing of it for the whole bunch!
